THE
PARK
a series by artist
LIZ
HOLLY
Images copyright (c)
1998 by Liz Holly
Liz Holly is an artist whose work is most often in oils, acrylics, or water
colors. But, in this series, through a happy accident, she
explores the line and shadow of a park with a pen to begin. The sketch
is then sprayed, and worked into with a brush. The results
are most pleasing, as you can see in these six excerpted from the series,
which numbers more than a dozen. While the images have a large presence,
they are actually 7" x 6 3/4" (unframed). All of these works
are on hemp paper.
Liz Holly's work may be seen by appointment at the Belanthi Gallery,
which is located at 142 Court Street, Brooklyn, New York 11201 (718) 855
2769. She will be one of the featured artists at an opening on January
24, 1999, hours from 3PM to 7PM for the opening. Refreshments
will be served; there is no charge.
