The artist Liz Holly began drawing when she was three. Posters,
prints, stained glass windows, the glow of the last beehive ovens in Pennsylvania, the play of shadows in sun, what light drew her eyes became raw material for later work. She believes her love of light came from her father, a coal miner who spent as much free time as possible enjoying the light of an out-of-doors he rarely saw. This love has moved on to an MFA, to work with her mentor, the late Indian Space painter Howard Daum, and further to over a decade of one-person and group exhibitions. Her paintings and drawings have been collected by dozens of art lovers north and south.
This page will show samples of her work in small "shows." The first is now online. Expect more soon.
